I heard they were trying to raise money for their Field of Dreams and being a good corporate citizen, I put a bid in. And apparently I won!

It won't be friends and family, put it that way. I would think we'll try and get some competent baseball players in there and maybe a few people that work for us.

It's a little frightening what's happening in Pickens County. Pickens County relies on the textile industry probably more than the surrounding counties as far as per capita employment, and as the economy adjusts to the China trade issues, it affects us here in Pickens County more than most.

A lot of the lads have played football for 20 years and you just don't like losing.

There's nothing much there in terms of habitat.

Do we need to raise taxes at this stage? I don't know. Do we need to do something to make sure they (city employees) have a livable wage? Absolutely.

We've got to get salaries up to where they need to be -- that definitely needs to be a priority. But you've also got to get these people something to work with. We keep annexing and not adding staff to cover the new areas, and we have to do that.

We'll continue to lose good people if something's not done. We just need to start making some of the hard decisions and quit playing politics.

I think dating is a showcase for how fun television can be.
